This project demonstrates a production-oriented CI/CD pipeline for a containerized Java web application, automating testing, code quality analysis, Docker image publishing, and deployment to Amazon ECS Fargate.

CI/CD Implementation

• Built a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline with separate Testing, BUILD_AND_PUBLISH, and Deploy stages.

• Automated Maven testing and Checkstyle validation.

• Integrated SonarCloud for code analysis and Quality Gate validation.

• Built Docker images using a multi-stage Maven and JDK 21 build.

• Published versioned Docker images to Amazon ECR using GitHub Actions run numbers.

• Automated ECS task-definition updates with the newly published image.

• Deployed the application to Amazon ECS Fargate.

• Application Load Balancer for traffic distribution.

• AWS Certificate Manager for TLS/HTTPS.

HTTPS is handled through an Application Load Balancer with an ACM certificate, while Route 53 maps the custom domain to the load balancer.
