VProfile — Dockerized Java Multi-Tier Application

VProfile is a multi-tier Java application containerized using Docker and Docker Compose, transforming the application into a fully orchestrated five-container environment.

DevOps Implementation

• Containerized the Java application using a custom multi-stage Docker build with Maven and Tomcat.

• Created custom Docker images for the application, MySQL database, and NGINX web server.

• Configured Docker Compose to orchestrate five services as a single application environment.

• Configured NGINX as a reverse proxy to route traffic to the Tomcat application container.

• Containerized and integrated MySQL, Memcached, and RabbitMQ services.

• Built and published custom Docker images to Docker Hub under the saajandevops namespace.

• Implemented database initialization using MySQL's Docker entrypoint mechanism.
